Monoprinting

For my fifth project we did mono printing. Mono printing is creating an image using several layers of paint and creating an image. The materials we used was a jelly plate, paint, a roller, paper, and different shapes. For my experimental I just explored with my colors. My colors was blue, yellow, and metallic grey. I cut out some shapes and put it to the side. First we have to create a first layer of paint. Since my first color was yellow I put yellow paint onto the jelly plate and rolled it with a roller. Then I pressed the paper down onto the plate and created a layer of yellow. Then I put the shapes down on the plate then roll with blue paint. press down on the paper then that creates a second layer. Lastly you print your last layer and I used grey. For my real mono print I used warm colors which are yellow, red, and orange. Or they can be known as Analogous, and that means colors next to each other on the color wheel.
